The RITZ Ybor is Tampa’s most sought-after venue for live music and special events, and serves as the official home and headquarters of Sunset Events.
Originally constructed in 1917 as the Rivoli Theatre, the RITZ Ybor underwent various renovations in the 1930s to expand and become the Ritz Theatre. Over the decades, it has transformed from a silent movie theatre to a playhouse, nightclub, and now a premier concert venue. In 2008, it officially reopened as the RITZ Ybor, showcasing its rich history and modern features.
Situated in the heart of the historic Ybor City district, the RITZ Ybor is just a short trolley ride away from the Water Street district, within 2-3 miles from downtown Tampa, and is only a 15-minute car ride from the Tampa International Airport.
Since its reopening in 2008, the RITZ Ybor has hosted high-profile events such as Super Bowl parties, national product launch parties, and sold-out concerts from acclaimed artists like Lady Gaga, Imagine Dragons, Kendrick Lamar, Skrillex, and more.

For over 2 decades, Sunset Events has dominated the dance music industry with top events, festivals, and promotions in Tampa Bay and Central Florida. Owner John Santoro started this endeavor back in 1995, and Sunset Events has produced over 150 events each year along with its annual music festival, Sunset Music Festival.

VENUE POLICIES
General Admission: We are a STANDING ROOM venue. No outside seating is permitted. For questions related to ADA, please see below for wheel chair accessibility or send us an email at events@theritzybor.com.
Dress Code & Bag Policy: Our dress code is casual: shirt and shoes are required. No backpacks, book bags, camelbaks, large purses, or bandanas are allowed inside the venue.
ADA: The RITZ Ybor does not have a designated ADA section, but our venue is fully wheelchair accessible, and we accommodate certain types of medical equipment. For specific inquiries or assistance, please feel free to email us at events@theritzybor.com.
Age Limit: Age limits vary per show, but our weekly Pound Friday and Sunset Saturday events are ages 18+. Please check each event’s age limit in the event description.
ID Policy: For shows that are ages 18+, and for guests who are ages 21+ and wish to consume alcohol, a physical and valid ID will be required upon entry. Valid forms of ID include non-expired Drivers License, state issued Identification Cards, Military ID, or a flipbook Passport. Photocopies of Identification are not allowed or permitted.
Camera Policy: No professional audio, video, or audio recording equipment is allowed inside the venue including any camera with a detachable lens or tripod setup. For press pass access, please contact the artist and their management directly.
Pet Policy: For the safety of both pets and our guests, pets of any kind are NOT permitted in the venue. However, SERVICE ANIMALS are allowed, though we strongly recommend only bringing them if absolutely necessary, as the loud music and large crowd could be overwhelming.
